Redesign of an app that tracks young people’s daily lives, connected to their care team

Blues WebBlues Web, product preview

Boscoville is the birthplace of psychoeducation in Quebec: a charity that trains and supports practitioners working with young people aged 0 to 25, in every administrative region of Quebec. Its Blues program, for ages 12 to 25, relies on Blues Web, the screening and follow-up platform we redesigned.

Context and challenges

The Blues program already ran on a web platform. Boscoville wanted to move it to a robust, secure and scalable web and mobile solution to screen, support and follow young people. The challenges: obtaining parental consent before any answer from young people under 14, complying with Law 25 on the protection of personal information, and connecting the subscriptions of partner organizations to Boscoville’s management tools.

What we did

A mobile app for young people

A daily journal, adapted questions and follow-up over time, on iOS and Android.

A web console for practitioners

Organizations, cohorts, participants and follow-ups, with permissions suited to each role.

A questionnaire with parental consent

A dedicated app, designed so that consent is collected before any answer.

Organization subscriptions

A connection to Odoo to check that an organization is authorized, and to online payment.

Privacy first

Role-based access rights and Law 25 compliance documentation, built alongside the product.
